bigclever_princess.jpg  This is a challenging time for a Travel Princess.  It’s hard for me to balance my crown on my head when I see my travel money bleeding away with my retirement funds.  Things this princess likes to do cost money.  AND money is tight.  I don’t know about you, but I feel a cloud over the world.  Go into a mall and you will feel it.  People moving through motions. Gifts are being purchased without excitement.  I’ve talked to more people who are considering every way they can cut back.  From the business women I hang out with I know that depression counseling and liquor stores are the ones doing the best right now. The more your read, the more news you hear, the more powerless you can feel.                                           So what is a princess to do?                        strength-tile-150.giftile04o.jpgtile05o.jpg             Well I found a site that provides inspiration during this time and some pretty simple and cool products that help spread the WORD.  Check out Empoword.   Here you will find words and thoughts that remind princesses of just what’s important–YOU.  Using a simple concept of placing powerful words like, wonder, love, awake, giggle, strength, etc. on everyday products reminds us of what it takes to have the life we really want.  It triggers that which is within our power to come forward. I purchased a water bottle with the word breathe on it for my daughter who is very stressed.  It was a nice “just because” gift that she carries in her backpack purse.  I bought a note card that says gratitude to give to someone I appreciate having in my life.  The Tee shirts and mugs are terrific and inexpensive.  Next time I have a baby gift I’m going to order the cute onesie that says giggle.  Actually I might give that to my husband who has become a sour puss.   So if you need a very special gift for someone, or even better one for yourself check out www.thinkempoword.com.   Their blog and newly formed community might be inspirational as well.  I know I’ve appreciated their web site and blog.  I need to remind myself that if  I don’t feel empowered, no one will make me feel that way.  It’s up to me to hold my head high and keep that crown proudly on my head.
